SES is currently seeking a Production Mechanic to join our Field team. The Production Mechanic will play a key role in the redevelopment of the field service department. The goal is to work through large tasks of rearranging the physical layout of the department, testing warranty items on a day-by-day basis to prevent outstanding service requests, and assisting the department with other needs such as setting up shop, assembling organizing items such as shelving and racks, moving equipment, and suggesting ideas to make processes more efficient that require less physical work.

Primary Responsibilities:

Physical Labor (70-80% of day)

· Move and arrange large machines ranging from 600 – 5000lbs using a forklift or pallet jack

· Tasks will include physical labor which requires standing, kneeling, stooping, and twisting for intermittent periods

· Ability to lift, push and pull items that weigh 50 – 100lbs

· Move equipment to scrap piles using forklift or pallet jack

· Set up systems using a chain fall to position I-beams and fabricated metal structures

· Arranging tools and equipment (large machined tools and hydraulic jacks)

Shop Skills (10-20% of day)

· Use of basic hand tools (hammers, wrenches, mallets, screwdrivers, files, drills, impact tools, torque wrenches)

· Use of precision measuring devices (feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.)

· Use of basic electrical testing equipment (multimeter, insulation testers)

Other

· Maintains a cooperative relationship with all departments

· Ensuring that productivity and processing time objectives are met

· Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas

· Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors

· Ensures proper maintenance of all equipment and the physical upkeep of the shop

· Organize and maintain inventory and storage area

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

· 3+ years of related work experience

· Must be experienced forklift operator and knowledgeable of forklift/material handling

· Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and operate basic hand and small electric tools

· Previous experience with SAP system preferred

· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Windows OS

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills with a focus on organization

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Highly flexible; Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

· Must be punctual and dependable with regular attendance

· Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with some overtime required
